Jake Lattimer

I have been lurking on Fanataic for a couple seasons now... and I've been waiting for this post all weekend. Lattimer's flowing mane was all over OSU last Friday, and deserves a lot more attention than he is getting. I honestly think he should be added to the Keg Stand, no matter his numbers. Also, a Pantene ProV endorsement should be in the mail. Can we get a little Lattimer love for his performance on Friday night?

By the way, I laughed pretty hard when I saw Lattimer flop and get OSU the 15 yard penalty.

Haha. I can appreciate that. All I'm saying is there is a lot of emotion on the field through Lattimer. Watching the highlight reel he was (or the next guy in line) on the tackle/sack/FR.

He's better than Clay Matthews, and his hair has more volume.

There's a good shot of him during the post game in (I think) that Iceborg clip screaming "CYCLONE NATION FOREVER" into the camera, or something to that effect. You could tell the guy was just wound up and having fun.

He did make a lot of great plays against OSU, most notably tipping the ball that LJ picked off (it was him, right?).

Really, we could give about 20 guys their own thread from that game. It actually might be more difficult to find a guy that doesn't deserve his own thread. Amazing game all around.

He definitely has a motor that doesn't quit. I'm surprised he doesn't have more sacks, but he still makes his presence known on the field, and puts pressure on the pocket.

Good point. I just felt like he was lost in all the commentary on how GREAT our whole defense played (CF, Soundoff, etc.).

And yes, man lust is an understatement.

Ben Bruns tweeted the following "Watching the OSU game, I'm not sure Jake Lattimer isn't the player of the game...pressure, tipped pass for an INT, forced fumble. Huge game."
