We need a good showing in Norman.
Yeah, I'd love to win, but we need to battle more than anything. We hang tight, and the confidence continues to grow. If we lay and egg, much of what we gained last Friday slips away.

Re: We need a good showing in Norman.
Agreed. And I said that after the OSU game. We don't need to win, but we need to keep it close to prove to the world, our opponents and maybe most importantly ourselves, that we're not just the "Same old ISU". That we're a team that won't lay down for anyone. If we play like that the rest of this season, win or lose, we'll be a much more confident team next season and the seasons going after.

Re: We need a good showing in Norman.
Don't know why anyone is worried. We started off 3-0 while I had my "Rustache". I made the mistake of shaving it and we lost the next four. I grew it back and boom 3-0. I'm sure as **** leaving it for this game no matter how stupid it looks!

A "good showing"? Wow, we really need to deal with people's underexpectations. Set your goals in the right place. How about if we just go ahead and win?
We got a new Marshall here in town, and his name's Paul Rhoads, and the times, they is a'changin'.

Norman has been a house of horrors for this program......not only this program, but this team specifically based on the 52-0 drubbing these same guys took last year down there.
I'd love to get a win, too.....but if our guys aren't able to do that, I want to see a great effort and us keeping within striking distance of OU. Another 52-0ish beatdown will just send this fanbase back into the "We are ISU" mindset again, which is what the OP is getting at.

Weather may be a factor. Showing 60% chance of rain and 25mph winds with temps in the upper 40s.

Say we get down 31-7 at halftime, should we keep throwing all over the field and risk a 52-14 blowout, or play it safe and hang on 34-14?
You probably weren't implying that at all, but you suggest "a good showing" and not necessarily a win.

Beating a top 10 team once is one thing, beating 2 back to back is something else entirely.
We are not on the same level as OU. We will need to play our ******* hearts out and then some. We also need OU to play below what they are capable of.

We have a different team this year and even more as of the last few games.

I expect ISU to win the game.

stache + confidence = success at life.
