K-State 27
I-State 17
We slow them down for awhile, but then our D gets tired and they wear us out. Hope I'm wrong!

Re: Prediction: Farmageddon
let me make sure I'm getting this right, our D held TT, OSU, and OU to less than 30 points, but some of you think that KSU will put up 30+?

I can see them putting up 30+. Example: ISU offense turns the ball over another 3-4 times and considering how physical KSU's offense is ISU defense will get tired.

We turned the ball over 4 times in the first half Saturday and our D held up. Anything is possible I guess but I think your really underestimating the D, especially against a team that is going to rely so much on the run. I'd be surprised if KSU puts up any more than 24 points.

Re: Prediction: Farmageddon
With the way KSU likes to slow the game down, I'd be surprised if either team scored more than 24 points.

We are due. We win a close one.

KSU scores less points than they have JUCOs on the team.

Re: Prediction: Farmageddon
Looks like KSU defense has given up some points to teams that can throw the ball (BU 35, TT 34, OU 58, OSU 52, A&M 31 in regulation) but has been salty against more run-based teams (MU 17, Tex 13).
Stats bear that out:
KSU rush def 124 ypg, 16 TDs (27th)
KSU pass def 278 ypg, 23 TDs (108th)
I think ISU defense will hold them to 20-24 point range. So the offense has to get 4 TDs somehow. Haven't done that in regulation against anyone except TT - but it sure feels like the potential is there, if they could get out of their own way (penalties, turnovers). At times it looks like the offense is run by a freshman QB.
So I'd say it is all about our offensive execution - again. If offense can execute the passing game well, they should score and can win. If not (off target throws, dropped balls) then lots of 3-and-outs and a tired defense.
The wildcard is any defense/special teams scores. Either team gets one they will almost certainly win.
Both teams have a lot to play for and willplay hard. If ISU offense plays well it will be a great college FB game.

Re: Prediction: Farmageddon
Our D has improved every week and I think were seeing that especially in the last 4 weeks. We have to spy their Klein with our Klein and force K-State to throw the ball. Rely on our corners, who have been playing very well, to shut down their receivers. Let those cats see what it feels like to be stranded on Johnson Island! I think we can put this one off, but our D is the key.

KSU: 28
ISU: 17
Hope I'm wrong but K-state is a very good disciplined team that can beat you with stout defense and dragging offense that doesn't necessarily score a lot but drains a lot of clock...hope our defense plays as good as they have been
