ISU gets behind early, but Burnham keeps the D on their grinding track...
Barnett continues to grow as a QB in front of our eyes as the Offense does just enough to win...
I put all my credits on ISU anyway.
53-50 A&M (31-31 end of regulation)
So they average 27 points per game at home during regulation (ISU is pretty good when opponents score 24 or less during regulation).
Looking at their box scores, they like to shorten games via ball possession (multiple games around 40 min) which means fewer drives (a few at 10; most games around 14) and like many teams do well when they win the turnover battle.
Last two games were 27-20 and 24-23. I imagine it will be similar this year. I'm hoping for 20-17 ISU, but things never quite go according to plan vs K-State...
Turnovers at the worst possible time kill promising drives for ISU. KSU grinds out the ISU defense for a 24-10 win and (with an OU victory in Bedlam) a piece of the Big 12 championship. Look for KSU to have an overwhelming edge in time of possession and to win the turnover battle +3.
