Prediction: Farmageddon

Can someone please give me a read on this game? KSU can't throw the ball and has lost Lockett for the year. They really don't hand the ball off to the running backs. The offense is centered around Klein running the ball. We struggle at times against the run. I think this is going to be a great game, with ISU pulling it off 28-24.

What do you mean they can't throw the ball? KSU has thrown for almost 1600 yards with a not stellar but good enough to win rate of over 58%. Klein also has a TD to INT ratio of 11:5; "doesn't" does not necessarily equal "can't".

If ISU could win nine out of eleven games by only throwing for 150 yards a game I guarantee we would.

I agree the best way to try to upset KSU is to spy Klein and make him throw. I like our chances this way with our DB's better than trying to chase down Klein when he is flushed from the pocket.

21-20 ISU. We are down 14-20 in the 4th quarter, but score a TD with 4 minutes remaining and hold on for the win.

KSU struggled big time vs Texas throwing the ball. When they had lockett earlier in the year i think they threw it considerably better. They have become very one-dimensional lately.

Again, they only had 121 total yards of offense vs Texas. KSU likes to play the field position game, and opportunistic football without turnovers. On paper, everyone they play feels like they (the opponent) should win. They don't do anything flashy. Just fundamentally sound football. They don't have a very good defense, either.... also very successful in the redzone.

Prediction: This game will be a lot like the last 2 years. It will come down to a late drive. I think either team feels confident they can win in the waning seconds. K-state has gotten the best of us each time. Hopefully we can pull it out this year.

24-21 or so either way

KSU is a hard team to read. There isn't anything particularly impressive about them from what I've seen, except they just make enough plays to win. I think we are a similar team (at times), and really have to be tenacious and avoid the flurries of mistakes that have haunted us this season. I expect a close game, within a touchdown either way.

Just curious, what kind of Defense do you guys think Wally will put out there to stop Klein? We saw an interesting goal line formation vs Blake Bell last saturday. 4 down linemen and maybe 3 linebackers + 2 safeties near the LOS. I wasn't so sure i liked that strategy, but it was fairly effective. We had a great goal line stand when they got their final 3 points (1st and goal from the 1).

I really feel like Wally will have a great game plan prepared. Hopefully Knott + Tau fa ou + Klein + maybe broomfield or morgan + maybe Benton near the LOS.

Another key factor will be Leonard johnson and Reeves not giving up a long pass play because they've fallen asleep. They killed us the last 2 years with that and they've done it several times again this year to their opponents. NEED A BIG GAME OUT OF OUR SECONDARY! EVEN IF ITS JUST A HANDFUL OF PLAYS THE WHOLE GAME. Those are their money plays!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't AJ spy RG3 when we played them?

Matt T is a hell of a run stopper. Didn't he use to be known as the torpedo? the guy really can shoot a gap. I bet he has 10 tackles vs KSU.
