I agree. We see CPR as "one of us". Seems like that old friend we knew since grade school, not the head coach of a major univesity. ISU has always been the more emotional and lively school in Iowa. We thrive on hope, CPR doesn't just give us hope, he actually delivers. Making us truly believe we can go toe to toe with any team out there.

Not many had a solid connection with Chizik, not many do with CPR; but we feel like we do. This is why it would bother us more than Chizik. As fans the best way we can help keep CPR here is to donate, buy season tickets and show up to games. Fill The Jack, and force the SEZ project. That will go a long ways to keeping Rhoads.

He isn't going to some place like Arizona State. It's stupid and not a great job. If he leaves it is going to be for a really really good job not some second tier dump in the desert. There are going to be rumors till we get him a bigger contract which will happen soon I am sure.

In all honesty coach Rhoads will have to have some winning seasons and finish in the top half of the conference before other schools really take a serious look at him. No doubt he has done some good things, but there are a lot of coaches out there that have a better resume at this point. The next three or four years will decide if other schools make a run at him.

I think it would be easier to recruit to and find success at than a school like ISU, for the right coach. Tempe is a pretty neat area (and much warmer).

Other than that, I agree. Rhoads isn't going there. I don't think he's going anywhere.

We won't see a Rhoads raise/extension until the regular season is over. Just like Ohio State waited to announce Urban Meyer until after the Michigan game despite all indications it was a done deal days ago.

This is irritating still having one game to go.

There won't be any contract extension or raise until after the season. JP is waiting for Rhoads to win one more and a bowl game in order to give him more money and a longer contract extension....then again, anything short of lifetime is not long enough.
