Recruiting rankings
Take it for what it's worth but it's nice to see us on one of these lists. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201..._a19&eref=sihp -
Re: Recruiting rankings
That puts ISU 8th in the Big 12 if you replace A&M and Mizzou for West Virginia and TCU.

Re: Recruiting rankings
Also, no sight of the Hawks? Did I miss them on there?

Re: Recruiting rankings
I think they have the wrong logo there. Click on the number of recruits and it takes us to the Washington site. I don't recognize any of the recruits so there is an oopsie somewhere...

Re: Recruiting rankings
The listed top recruit is ours. I think it is still us -
Re: Recruiting rankings
USC is 49th with 9 4-stars. The list is jacked up.

Re: Recruiting rankings
according to that site I believe they put the Washington link instead of Iowa States...though according to them our class is better if you compare it with theirs so our spot is right...they just put the wrong link in

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. -

If it were later in the recruiting cycle I would agree with this. Right now is still a bit early with high school ball just wrapping up and the contact period just reopening. I think that ISU is getting some of their first wishes while leaving a few spots open for the "bigger fish". Iowa has a lot of offers out there right now and just havent gotten as many hits.
2 - 4's, 7 - 3's, 2 - 2's and one unranked vs 12 - 3's, 4 - 2's and two unranked isnt that far apart.
If it were January and both teams go into finishing mode rather than before the bowls, they yes. Right now Iowa isnt lining up 4 - star at every position, so here in the next 6 weeks they better get a class with a little more quantity.
Just my opinion.

Iowa still is the hunt for several 4 star players and may take 1-2 very good DL from PSU. Having said that: these lists are for entertainment purposes only. I would say no matter where Iowa was on the list. They are mostly drawn by "experts" who have never seen the players they rank actually play. If PR or KF wants a player(no matter where he is ranked) I would take that above any of these sites. They have both proven their ability to recruit players that can help their teams

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.
