Improving the passing game.
Has anyone heard anything from the guys redshirting at WR?
Is Brun RS at TE?
Im guessing we see more passing to the guys in the backfield next year.
Jared shows some real signs of being a great QB, but failed to pass for more than 180 yards in all but one game.

Chris Young #15
Teddy Lampkin #4
Tad Ecby #6
Quenton Bundrage #11
Ja'Quarius Daniels #5
Based on what I have read about these guys, it sounds like we have a solid receiver core for the next few years.

Gary and Lenz are back as well.

Gary is already a beast, can't wait to see him again next year.

Starters:
Gary
West
Bundrage/Lenz
Brun(hopefully)
I think I have pegged why White was behind Johnson. It took awhile because I thought he was a better down to down runner, but it looks like he may have a catching issue. I could be wrong there but he has dropped a couple recently that were pretty easy.

Re: Improving the passing game.
Would help to have a QB with a completion % in the low 60's and/or a QB rating in the 120's.
Jantz - 53.9%, 109.2 rating
Barnett - 50.7%, 100.8 rating
For comparison:
Jordan Webb - 63.7%, 126.7 rating
Collin Klein - 57.8%, 128 rating
Case McCoy - 61.1%, 131.9 rating
David Ash - 56.3%, 104.4 rating

Re: Improving the passing game.
two words:
Dropped passes
Besides, how much would our passing game improve if we would land a guy like amara darboh? JB would probably throw for 3000 next year and AD would have 1000

This is what needs to happen. Until he is accurate with his throws, the passing game won't get better. Our receivers were fine this year. They still had the dropsies, but they were vastly improved. Almost all of Barnetts TDs were courtesy of great catches, not great throws.

Re: Improving the passing game.
JB sometime throws a high ball that bounces off hands. He will work on that.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

He is not accurate in games. Paul Rhoads has said it. You should believe it.

Re: Improving the passing game.
I liked what I was seeing in some of the routes yesterday especially with the crossing routes. The crossing receivers where getting good rubs off each other at the mesh point, which resulted in lots of open receivers across the middle.

We had 8 dropped passes in the first half against OK State. The OU and K-state games were hardly ideal weather conditions. The Tech and Kansas games he played pretty well. Also played well in the A&M game.
I don't think our receivers have done a terrible job. Better than last year, but they still have a ways to go. They will be a better group next year.
