    Paul Rhoads on Big 12 only getting one BCS team...

    From a few minutes ago...

    “There are four BCS conferences that I believe got two teams in. The Big 12 got one. My wife was reading me a story today about the most recently updated toughest schedules in the country. Numbers one through 10 are the Big 12 conference schools. Iowa State probably sits number two in that category. We deserve to have two teams in the BCS. Kansas State deserves to be there. I don’t care what kind of brand of football that they play. They won eight games by seven points or less. They won 10 football games. They are an outstanding football program and this is a great football league.”

    I'm guessing that ESPN is just ****** that the Big 12 has all but ended their wet dream of 4 superconferences from ever forming...

    Yep. All this realignment talk wouldve never happened without ESPN encouraging it. As it is theyve successfully pretty much taken out the big east. And now the BCS may just be the title game, so get ready to see 2-3 SEC and B10 teams every year forever. Or hell, why not an SEC team in 4 BCS bowls? They have 4 in the BCS top 10, so im sure they could try to justify it.

    What a joke.

    The Big 12 has 4 teams in the Top 14, 2 in the top 10, and get 1 team in.

    The ACC has 1 team in the Top 14, none in the top 10, and get 2 teams in.

    How crazy is that?!? And VT gets to play Michigan (another joke), so it won't even be a blowout loss to show what a joke it is.

    This is where you are making your mistake, the BCS is only designed to put $$ in a couple people's pockets. It has nothing to do with giving the deserving teams the best bowls.

    That, or maybe now that they've got all the BCS games locked up they screw some teams over to really get the ball rolling into a playoff/+1 under the "BCS" banner and thus don't have to bid on games.

    I should be insulted and feel bad for my alma mater but... It is not like I did not see it coming. New Orleans and Miami are a long way to travel for a bunch of farmers. The BC$ is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$s, the number of butts a school can put in the grandstand, and of course those always vital TV ratings.

    The real winner is the Cotton Bowl and the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area. Having K-State and Arkansas should insure they will have a full house and high TV rankings regionally.

    Besides, how angry can a fan base be about getting to return to the Jerry Dome and Dallas for a few days of fun and a great football game?
