There's a New Jersey bus route that has a stop right across the street. For $3.95, they'll have you at the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan in 20 minutes (a block from Times Square!). Take the 4 train from the Port Authority ... $2.25 and 25 minutes later you're at Yankee Stadium. You seriously can't beat that.
I'm still wondering how I'll get from Newark Airport to the hotel, but it looks like the rest of the travel will be a breeze. Planning to fly out of O'Hare ... yeah, it's a drive from eastern Iowa, but you've got more choices in times and the fares are about half as much.

Friend of mine just reminded me that there are over a million people who work in legitimate jobs IN NYC proper that make less than $20,000 a year. That can't do that and eat $30 hamburgers. Young people need to have a little ingenuity and complain less. It is the Cyclones after ALL.......... Are you ALL IN!!!!

Re: ***OFFICAL: I BOOKED MY TRIP THREAD***
Just a tip for those on this board: jason33 got a room at the LaGuardia Hampton Inn (a Hilton property) for $143/nt, so I dropped out of the Marriott rooms I had on hold for $268/nt and jumped into the Hampton action as well. Don't plan to spend much time in a room/hotel & Hamptons are known to be clean & comfortable. If a $143/nt room helps some of you make the decision to go to the game, I wanted to let you know that there are those options available.

It would be nice if some of that made it back to ISU. Ticketnmaster has a lawsuit going on against them foir collecting some unsavory fees.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

You can take a train from Newark Airport, then call and have the hotel shuttle meet you at the Secaucus Junction. The only time this hasn't worked for me has been when I got in after Midnight and had to take a cab (still only $15 or less).

Re: ***OFFICAL: I BOOKED MY TRIP THREAD***
Thought this got posted, but not so:
jason33 from another Clone board has found a $143/night rate at the LaGuardia Hampton Inn so I backed out of my hold on a $268/nt room @ the LaGuardia Marriott (which I thought was going to be a great rate for NYC) and joined him. If this rate would help more of you decide to go to the game, I sure wanted to share his good find with you all. Hampton is owned by Hilton & the rooms are nearly always clean & comfortable. They also have a shuttle from/to LaGuardia, where you can catch the M60 bus to Manhattan & then take the subway from there to the game, SOHO, Little Italy, etc. for fun times. Little Italy is a "don't miss" experience!
