Anyone else find this a little interesting seeing the position he's in now?

Alrite first off i dont spend all my time on boards and get all my information from them and secondly i've been hearing from many places saying that quote. i'll admit i looked into it and even tho i've seen it a lot of places no one can confirm it. i dropped the ball so sue me

Sounds good..probably class action..for everyone exposed to this. And if this were california, we would probably win. They give out money for stupid **** all the time.

Probably not a real quote, but I agree with it. I can't rememver the year, but As much as I root for the Big XII, when OU lost the championship game, then got to play in the NC, I thought that was wrong. That should be the first criteria, imo. Maybe, you could make a case for your conference championship being your only loss, but to not even play in the conference championship definitely should be automatic out.

Yeah this quote has been given to Saban on message boards many times before, however, I have never seen it actually linked to the origination.

The quote is from 2003 and its an interpolation of his comments.

Its referring at the time to Oklahoma getting waxed by KSU in the big 12 championship, and still getting into the championship instead of USC i believe....

here's an actual quote...
"I don't think anyone will know who the legitimate national champion is unless all three teams in consideration get the opportunity to play one another," LSU coach Nick Saban said.

Oklahoma made the BCS title game despite getting walloped by Kansas State 35-7 in the Big 12 championship Saturday night, becoming the second team in three years to play for the national championship without winning its own conference.

Big East commissioner Mike Tranghese, the coordinator of the BCS, said requiring a team to win its conference is just one possible change to the system next year.

The irony is this was suggested in 2003 and they never made the change...this would have solved this issue.....

Dont get me wrong, still think sabans a D-bag!!!! Ever since i saw his ballot, i knew who he truly was.....
