The unbeaten
Rhoads has had quite a 3 year run here at ISU. We have seen better competition than we have ever seen against some of the better programs on our schedule. Listening to his interview on CloneZone, Rhoads made a comment that "there are still a number of schools we haven't beat", that got me wondering exactly what the list is and how it compares.
Rhoads winning percentage against each program is beside each team name. The last year we beat each team before Rhoads tenure is in parentheses alone with our winning percentage against that team prior to Rhoads. Teams we've beat: NonCon
NDSU 100% (Never before played)
Kent St 100% (2008, 83%)
Army 100% (2005, 50%)
Minnesota 100% (1898, 8%)
NIU 100% (2004, 66%)
UNI 100% (2006, 72%)
Iowa 33% (2007, 34)
UConn 100% (NA, 0%) Big 12
Baylor 50% (2004, 50%)
Nebraska 50% (2004, 17%)
Colorado 50% (2007, 22%)
Texas Tech 100% (2002, 12%)
Texas 50% (NA, 0%)
Kansas 67% (2004, 39%)
OkState 50% (2005, 39%) Teams we have not beat NonCon
Utah 0% (1976, 100%) Big 12
KSU 0% (2007, 53%)
A&M 0% (2005, 11%)
Missouri 0% (2006, 33%)
Oklahoma 0% (1990, 7%)
We have never played Rutgers.
Of the non-beaten's, unless it is in a bowl game we won't play three of them anytime soon. You got to believe KSU and OU are going to have targets on their backs this next year.

Re: The unbeaten
How many ISU coaches have beat every team in the Big 12?

Re: The unbeaten
Can you imagine CPR and the teams we've had the past few years playing in the Big 12 North back in the day when it was really down? We would been in the Big 12 title game a few times

I knew we hadn't beaten Texas I guess who beat all of the conference opponents would have been the correct question.

Re: The unbeaten
next year is about our best shot to beat OU in a long, long time. We were very close in 2007, but that was kind of a fluke.
OU under bob stoops is beatable on the road.

*tied How should we do that with Rhoads though. No, he didn't beat MU or A&M, but he didn't get much of a chance to either. Mac beat 9 of 11 but had a long time to do it in. I think to be fair you have to take Missouri and A&M off and just replace it with WVU and TCU. Let's face it, how many teams did any of these coaches beat in just the first 3 seasons?

The two most successful coaches of the Big-8 era (Majors and Bruce) never beat Oklahoma.

It seems that the previous average is about 1 "unique" win per year.
Chizik beat 2 in 2 years.
Mac beat 9 in 12 years (had 7 after 8 years).
Walden beat 6 in 8 years (and no wins in year 8).
Criner beat 5 in 4 years.
Duncan beat 4 in 4 years.
Bruce beat 6 in 6 years.
Majors beat 4 in 5 years.
Stapleton beat 6 in 10 years (had those after 6 years).
