2012 Class
Out of the current commits we have for 2012 who is the player you are most excited to see?
Personally, mine is Eddie Porter. Sounds like he is a good hard nosed backer that will be able to plug up the middle next year!

Re: 2012 Class
Pierre Aka. Pretty interested to see if Luke Knott at safety can be anything like his brother is at LB for us too.

Re: 2012 Class
TJ Mutcherson. For whatever reason I feel like he'll have a David Sims like impact. Outside of that Quan West, Barkley Hill, and Charles Rogers.

Re: 2012 Class
Next year? Porter.
By 2015, Rohach.

Re: 2012 Class
Good question. I remember this thread two years ago when shontrelle Johnson was getting all the votes.
This years class is very deep. I think Eddie porter will have the biggest impact. One thing I noticed, rivals hasn't rated any of our 2012 commits below a 5.3 rating. I always thought gene chizik was a good recruiter (even dispite my belief that he recruited more nationally known/big time prospects than Rhoads and mac did--who preferred to recruit more players that fit their respective systems) chizik actually was bringing in many more players in the 4.9-5.2 range (about 10 in 2008)
That made me feel a lot better about Rhoads recruiting

Re: 2012 Class
Cliffard Stokes. He might step in to take Leonards spot. He will be challenged a lot as teams may throw away from Reeves has he has been a stud this year

Re: 2012 Class
I think that one of the recruits that I'm most excited for is Charles Rogers. The staff wanted him early and he has great size if they really are planning on him playing CB. The other ones I'm excited to see are Mutcherson and Harris. I think that Mutcherson is going to be a player at Safety. And Harris is super underated at WR.
I really like the idea of Mutcherson as a 4 to play 4 and Morrissey as a 4 to play 3 guy. That's filling the pipeline with young depth.

Re: 2012 Class
I see immediate upgrades defensively all the way around...maybe not over this year, but over what's coming back. Stokes at CB, Mutcherson at S, Porter at LB, Hayes and Morrissey at DE. I also think that from last year's class, Pompey, Irving and Simon are going to be impact players with a year under their belts. And look out for Bundrage...I think that he's going to start as a RSFR.

Re: 2012 Class
Cole Netten, because we've all seen the impact a kicker can have.

Re: 2012 Class
I'm more excited for the guys on the roster we haven't seen yet...like Standard, Nealy, Richardson, etc.

Collin Bevins. Future stud.

Re: 2012 Class
I've said it before. I think 3-4 years from now, we're going to look back at the 2011 and 2012 classes as being a turning point in talent for Iowa State. Not because they are full of stars, but because they are full of solid, Big XII football players. Guys who we don't have to spend two years in the weight room before they can contribute.
