    Yep. Best hit tape ever. Don't see how it can be topped by anything other than a pre-BCS championship hit tape.

    I've been thinking about what made the OSU win so great. Obviously it's all the near-misses we've had. It got to a point where you just expected us to find a new way to lose the game.

    We've been conditioned to expect to lose, when:

    • we're ahead 28-7 at halftime against #15 and lose 35-28
    • we kick a bowl-winning field goal against a legendary football program and it's called no good,
    • we score a game winning touchdown at the right pylon against #5 in the season opener on national television and they say it's no touchdown
    • all we need is a 24 yard field goal to win the Big 12 North and we miss it. We get a second chance to win it in overtime, and can't score a TD with first and goal at the three.


    When our boys actually pulled through, looked a 24-7 deficit in the eye, and said to themselves "we aren't going to lose this game," and then proceeded to annihilate the #2 team in the country for the final 26 minutes + overtime of that game, it reached the catharsis level.

    I can't stop watching that god damn Oklahoma hit tape.

    I'll probably pull that one up to watch occasionally for the next several years. :)

    It's a month and a half later and I am still giddy about that game. I could still spend an hour discussing it with just about anyone.

    It was one of the coolest moments I've ever had with sports. In 50 years, I'll be telling my grandkids about it.
