Passing game
The past few weeks I have really enjoyed seeing Albert Gary & Jarvis West play and contribute. But Does anyone else think that we have gone away to much from Darks. Reynolds, And Lenz. I think for the bowl game we should really use them much more

Plus I believe Lenz was hurt in the OSU game but should be good to go for the bowl.

Re: Passing game
Lenz has been hurt. Darks doesn't seem like he gives a crap IMO. Reynolds is either a 2TD game or non-existent for some reason.
Glad to see the younger guys filling in just fine at the end of the season.

I will give him credit on his blocking and thank him for his 4 years with the program but the kid cannot catch the ball at all.
Renolds is so bi-polar as well it's hard to understand. It's either a fantastic, high difficulty catch or a dropped ball that hit him in the hands. It must be a concentration thing for him plus he made the switch from QB just a few seasons ago. He blocks very well on the outside so he's got that going for him.

Re: Passing game
From what I've seen Gary & Horne are our best 'YAC' receivers, so no I wouldn't change anything up.

He can't just go out there to block he is a Wide Receiver not a tight end

Re: Passing game
go with what works.
I dont want to bag on DD but he hasnt ever really established himself this year (or ever). His most receptions and yds came against OSU when we threw 50+ times. and that was 5 catches for 49 yds
Lenz has been hurt hence the lack of targets and production
As others have said Money is either on fire or non-existent
“It’s beyond pride. It’s a restored trust. There’s a confidence again, a passion that teeters on swagger. More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...” – columnist Sean Keeler, Des Moines Register -

Has never been consistent at catching the ball so why make a case for him to get targets in his final game? Quite frankly he should be greatful he is still getting the opportunities. If he were at a bigger program he would be on the practice squad by now.

DD had a drop in the OU game that was so freaking infuriating to watch. IIRC it was still at a point in the game where the outcome was in question and we were driving and JB threw a perfect ball to DD for what should have been a nice gain and moved the chains in OU territory (all of this off memory) and he just dropped it. Nobody around him, just dropped it. Pretty much summed up his career (minus his freshman season which was fantastic.)

Re: Passing game
Throw to the guys that catch the ball. If we go away from someone who doesn't, we're making a good decision.

We haven't had anyone that could make a play at wide receiver for a long time. These two can make people miss instead of tripping over their own shoe strings. Also, if we are moving the ball well, why does it matter who gets the ball? Just score baby.

Re: Passing game
I guess you guys are right. But I can't help but remember when Reynolds was supposed to be having this amazing year.

As soon as you see HUGE amounts of hype about a player on here that's when I lower my expectations for them. Seems to work pretty well. I enjoyed the plays he made this year but wasn't ****** when he didn't show up in some games.

I guess that can be said with Gary only more with JB than Jantz
