    "All players eligible"

    On one level, it is just good information in today's press release about all Iowa State players being eligible for the bowl. On another level, it could be viewed as a shot at Iowa and their unexplained ineligibility situations.

    What do you think? Are we taking a shot at Iowa?




    Bowl Ticket Mark Tops 5,000; All Players Eligible

    AMES, Iowa - There was plenty of good football news in the Iowa State football camp Thursday. Firstly, Iowa State fans have now secured 5,002 tickets for the Dec. 30 New Era Pinstripe Bowl in New York City's Yankee Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:22 CST on ESPN.

    Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads confirmed Thursday that all of his team's student-athletes are eligible for the game. The Cyclones will depart for New York on Christmas Day morning. The Yankee Stadium Field has been readied for the game.

    I don't think so. We have had guys be declared academically ineligible as late as pregame warmups I believe (Boise several years ago) and I think there's always been 1 or 2 that didn't qualify so I don't think this is a shot at anyone.
    Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
