Re: Pinstripe Tickets Sold: Rutgers 10,000 and ISU 5000
I hope for both our teams Yankee Stadium is packed so it looks good on ESPN. I am very proud of our fan base. So far the weather will be nice as well!!

Re: Pinstripe Tickets Sold: Rutgers 10,000 and ISU 5000
I still don't know if I'd discount our walk-up or people buying local. We went to the game at Army, and we had a good group there. Many of the people we tailgated around were from the eastern seaboard, not IA.

My dick is bigger than yours because my sports team sells more tickets than your sports team

Cycsk, the Yankee COO Lon Trost was on the radio in NYC just before Christmas saying the Yankees were expecting 30k total for the game. I guess that's not a fact for a member of the CF Hemorrhoid League like you.
There were a total of 30k people earlier this year for Rutgers vs. Army in Yankee Stadium, but you are taking this twits claim that they will have over 30k.
The tickets are now offered at up to a 40% discount through ticketmaster.
By the way, where are your facts and/or logic Cycsk?
I hope the bowl game has a great turnout. I know for sure there will be one complete ********* at the game thanks to you.

Just shows how pathetic the Big East and Rutgers are. Those numbers are just tickets sold through the school. That's not counting those sold on ticketmaster/stub hub, etcl. which are usually cheaper. 25,000+ Rutgers fans easily.

RU averages 45k for home games and since it is so close it would seem like this game should sellout easy with ISU covering their allotment and RU the rest.

Re: Pinstripe Tickets Sold: Rutgers 10,000 and ISU 5000
The game at YS earlier this year was an Army home game. RU fans had to pay upwards of $100 for a ticket (to the Yankees). Many people (myself included) chose not to go to that game in order to make it to the bowl. There will be plenty of Scarlet (no, not Cardinal) present I'm sure. But of course once again, ISU is better then Rutgers in every sense of the word...
Hope nothing bad happens to anybody as you stare up at the buildings... "Gosh darn, well I'll be. That thing sure is taller then any silo that I've ever seen!"

There have been several posts on various threads to explain the numbers that Rutgers will bring to the game, as well as helping to understand the level of winning that is expected by New Yorkers to attend. Some might call that being weak fans, I call it having lots of teams that you support. In New York, you have to do better than 8-4 against a mediocre schedule to pack the stadium, especially when there are other events in your backyard during the same week such as the Giants/Jets game, not to mention everything else that is happening in New York on an average day. For us, Iowa State football is everything, but not just because we are great fans. It is also related to the fact that we don't have that much else.
Now, back to cheering us on to victory. Go Cyclones.

Eh I know a couple groups of people that either have to work or have a been there done that attitude since we played Army at YS earlier in the year. This is still a minor bowl game.

There is no way I wouldn't be there if I was that close.

Yeah, for us, it is a no-brainer. I am a Cyclone fan and nothing else of any substance. However, I imagine that most Rutgers fans are also substantial fans of something else. And most of their something else's are more expensive that our college football.

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”
