Hope nothing bad happens to anybody as you stare up at the buildings... "Gosh darn, well I'll be. That thing sure is taller then any silo that I've ever seen!" We have skyscrapers in Des Moines. Haven't you ever seen it's skyline before? I'm sure it's just like New Yorks. -

Not sure why so many felt the need to attack Rutgers. Their fan support is pretty crappy, when you consider the millions of people in their state, but the fans who've come over to our board have been solid.
7) WVU and Clemson, despite lackluster sales, will each have 25-30,000 fans at The OB, you can bet on that one. WVU has NEVER played in the OB and Clemson hasn't, since they won it all, back in '81. Exactly.
IIRC, Iowa really struggled moving their OB tickets in '09, yet when the game kicked, half that stadium was black and gold. This will be one of the better Orange Bowl crowds in recent years.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there. -

Our fan base is better than that and it's not like we have a lot of reason to talk of our awesome football tradition. It's a good time for both teams and win or lose both team should be proud of their teams.

In New York, you have to do better than 8-4 against a mediocre schedule to pack the stadium, especially when there are other events in your backyard during the same week such as the Giants/Jets game, not to mention everything else that is happening in New York on an average day. For us, Iowa State football is everything, but not just because we are great fans. It is also related to the fact that we don't have that much else.
Now, back to cheering us on to victory. Go Cyclones. So basically they have a bunch of weak *** excuses. Works for me. That's why they will never get picked for a better bowl, and why any claims they bring the New York market in conference realignment talks are pure BS.
Go Cyclones!!

I like to pretend I have high standards too, but they really aren't that high.

And you're absolutely right on the bolded part. I was joking around. If I was single and drunk I probably wouldn't turn either of them down. It cracks me up to read those cheerleader threads on other boards, and the guys from School X all act like the nubile young women from School Y are so far below their standards, but we all know that in reality these internet trim snobs would come after it like a 40 year old who just got done with hard time.

Not understanding why some of us are being jackasses to the Rutgers people

Pinstripe staffers are holding posters up outside the morning shows. It's funny. Homemade, but definitely not slanted to one team or another.
