Looks like we were lucky the ISU/Iowa game was played in Ames this year, or else no pictures of ISU would have made it into the Year in review of photographs the DM reg puts out...

huh... point being there were more important games played at JTS this year... Instead they decided to put in a picture of a old **** sitting in the stands at a hawkeye game 4 hours before kick off as opposed to however many fans were on the field after the OSU win.. I dont subscribe to the DM Reg.. So just o observation... that is all...

53 photos. 5 of Iowa. 1 of ISU. The only ISU one was the James White TD vs Iowa. So not one ISU photo in there by itself. Normally I would say to stop whining or something like that, but that is pretty statistically significant when it comes to coverage.

Ok, I understand the argument some have that if you don't like it, don't read it.

But it's pretty pathetic that an incomplete pass in a loss to Michigan State, and 3 shots from a win over Michigan are more impressive than the biggest win in ISU history. Also, the old guy sitting in the stands makes it look like noone is at the game. So we need 3 pics from Iowas only impressive win on the year and nothing from ISU taking out #2 Okie State?

It's probably because the rag didn't have anyone competent enough to take a picture of the OSU game. They were probably all at the HS state championship game. Ridiculous.

To those of you who make fun of those who bash the Register for unfair treatment, remember we are talking about the newspaper that published a Marc Hansen article congratulating ISU for a great effort in losing to OSU moments after the game had ended.

I think the person who started this thread makes a very valid point.

Ha, yeah wasn't that Marc Hansen? I don't really give a **** since I don't read the DMR but I was a little surprised that no OSU photos made it into the top 50. There were lots of photo ops at that game...

The collage of pictures is not the biggest and/or best events of 2011, its the best pictures that were taken. Its a tribute to the photographers, not to the events.

The rag sucks. I wouldn't be surprised if 5 years from now the register is just a local newspaper and not statewide.
