Re: Would we have sold 11k for the Holiday Bowl?
I already had a trip to arizona planned that I just got back from. I could of extended that flight and gone to the insight or the holiday bowl easy. I think those would of been the only ones I would of tried to attend this year. Maybe a Texas bowl.

15,000 tickets from ISU would have easily been sold. Myself and 4 others would have been there.

Re: Would we have sold 11k for the Holiday Bowl?
Holiday Bowl was the one possible bowl destination I could have sold as our annual winter vacation, other than the outside chance at New Orleans bowl at large selection.
I think ISU takes a TON of fans the first time if we ever score a Holiday Bowl invite.
We love New York but we go there once or twice a year for business already.

Re: Would we have sold 11k for the Holiday Bowl?
I'm going to NYC but I think you'd have about 4-10 more ISU fans there considering I live 2 hrs from that stadium and have friends with a house in SD. Holiday next year plz :)

I HIGHLY doubt the ISU bowl charter would have been $2,000 per person for 3 days in San Diego.
The warm weather alone would have gotten several thousand more ISU fans to San Diego.

Re: Would we have sold 11k for the Holiday Bowl?
I didn't have the money for any bowl, but I think that selling San Diego, even in a very mild (so far) winter, is a lot easier than New York.
Even though people have clearly shown that NYC isn't more expensive than San Diego, people go in thinking that NYC will be pricey and cold, while San Diego is not cold. The weather would be a huge pull for Cyclone fans.

ISU would get 11k easily.

agree. Also, the ISU alumni association would have had far more cost effective packages to any of the higher "tier" bowl games. But alas, we got the most expensive bowl game for fans to travel in NYC.
My wife and I would have been there (SD) for sure.

The wife and I would have been there. Love that town and family to bunk with

Re: Would we have sold 11k for the Holiday Bowl?
After we beat OSU I had a group of about 15 that would go to any bowl other than NYC or Hawaii.
I think people were ready to flock to anywhere but those two places.

Re: Would we have sold 11k for the Holiday Bowl?
My fingers are crossed for a Holiday or Cotton bowl trip soon. They're historic bowls that ISU has never been to. I'd definitely pony up. I'd be shocked if we didn't buy up at least 11,000...

Re: Would we have sold 11k for the Holiday Bowl?
Holiday Bowl - would have been there
NYC - not going to be there
Think as a team experience, the Pinstripe Bowl will be (or already is) a huge success - team building, practices for returning players, general buzz around the whole thing
For the fan base, Holiday Bowl or Alamo Bowl would have definately been more ideal - think we get the 11K easy
