When they played their base defense (the first two drives), our Oline handled their Dline.

I'll just go ahead and agree with Ben Bruns, who said post-game that Rutgers physically controlled the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball...

Saying that 8 guys will physically control 5 guys is not disagreeing with Burns.

    Re: Herman= good riddance

Can anyone really explain why Meyer was so impressed with Herman? I mean I can think of maybe 2 or 3 games in his 3 years here that the offense actually clicked and looked impressive.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan.

He pointed out that he was surprised that the Rutgers OL was able to establish the run and also not allow a sack. That's being able to control the man in front of you...

That doesn't negate his point about their blitzing.

    Re: Herman= good riddance

Bottom line is, Herman was not doing anything really unique or anything really imaginative. The offense was plain vanilla, nothing special or hard to prepare for. We aren't losing the next great offensive mind here or anything.

Forgive Tornado Man, I doubt he knows there is a difference between Oline and Dline. He is a WBB and Volleyball guy. Those gals play both ways- the football team should be just as physically tough.

I'm trying to imagine a lineman playing both ways right now. I'm also trying to picture that lineman walking on his own power in the 2nd half.

Wow - so we go from having different perspectives of the game to...this?

I figured you were joking so I replied in-kind.
My mistake, there was no need to jest about either your lack of comprehension or you again being relegated to grasping for a fallacy.
