Probably just LJ and KO. The rest seem like late round or undrafted FA candidates.

Re: Who Gets A Combine Invite?

KO obviously. I think LJ could sneak in there with how he performed against Big 12 receivers throughout his career.

Another guy I think could sneak in there would be Hayworth Hicks. There are a lot of aging linemen in the NFL and this draft is already projected to see a lot of offensive linemen go early in the 1st round. A guy Hayworth's size could be an immediate replacement as an offensive guard, especially off the bench filling in for injury or in a 3rd and short situation. He could be taken as a 4th or 5th rounder, but of course it all depends on how many linemen go in the 1st round.

Re: Who Gets A Combine Invite?

The big question is "Will there be another bowl team that has fewer guys invited to the combine than ISU?"
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

The answer is yes there will, but you raised a key point. Until we increase the number of players that can go on to the next level, we'll be lucky to win 6 games/yr with schedules like our.

Hopefully we'll soon see 3-4 players drafted regularly. Averaging 1 or 1.5/yr is not going to get you much further than a .500 record when you're in a league like the B12.

And I don't think it's some conspiracy that ISU doesn't get more players drafted or invited to the combine. The fact is, NFL teams want to win and they want to win NOW. They don't have the luxury of playing favorites or politics with who they draft and from what school.

Money would have some interesting metrics at the combine, but not sure he would get an invite.

Re: Who Gets A Combine Invite?

I'm betting that KO and LJ get drafted, and invites to the combine. I think Hicks could go as a late rounder. I think Benton goes as an undrafted FA.

Money is a damn shame... When he makes plays, he looks all Big 12 with the likes of Wright, Broyles, Stills, Swope, etc. The problem is, he makes plays every other game. His inconsistency kills him (and me). I wouldn't be shocked if he lands as an UFA, but won't count on it.
