Why are people doubting Rhoads

Some of his decisions made in the bowl game may have seemed odd to you, but I personally trust him to make the decisions that give the team the best chance to win the game. I'm sure that putting Steele in gave us the best chance to win the game, especially when we are down in the 4th quarter.

Nobody doubts CPR. Herman's gameplan maybe, but not CPR.

I'm not seeing much doubting of Rhoads being done right now. The offensive strategy, yes, but Rhoads, no.

I am not doubting Rhoads. During the game I wondered if JB could have went in but I figured that CPR must have thought that Steele gave us the best change to win.

It would take a lot for me to start doubting CPR!

We lost a game, so it happens. I think most of us question Herman's "preparation" for the game, and suspect that it would have been better to send him on his way instead of keeping him for the bowl game.

But making decisions means people ask questions. That's pretty much how it works. Nobody says that CPR is a bad coach or a failure at ISU. They question decisions, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Pulling your QB in the 13th game - a Bowl Game, is a sign you do not have an organized offense.

I've not heard of anyone doubting Rhoads. Herman, yes, but not Rhoads. Herman was already in Columbus.

Maybe Rhoads felt Herman was sandbagging with his gameplan and calls, so he gave him a big fat F-U and had Jantz play the last 2.5 qtrs.

If you are not doubting CPR than you must not think he is in control enough to say I want JB in at QB and not SJ. I believe that a coach that we just praised enough to be thankful for is doing the right things at the time. Sometimes, maybe it doesn't work out and I wonder if JB would have stayed in and kept playing the way he was, how many of the same people would have said why He didn.t play SJ.

I kinda think that CPR believes in the grand scheme of things lighting a fire under your QBs during offseason will benefit the program more then winning the pinstripe bowl. He said SJ had a great week of prep. So maybe JB wasnt giving 100% effort during practice.

Those saying no one is doubting CPR check the Barnett shouldn't have been pulled thread. Several there doubting him for taking out Barnett.

CPR should have pulled Hermann after he knew he was not 'all in'. I hope Paul learns from that.

I think it is justified to question the decision to bench a freshman qb who played the last half of the season. I didn't like the decision. That is where I think somebody has to talk to the kid on the sideline and calm him down, not pull him.

That said, CPR knows a lot more than me and is fantastic for our program, so as a fan I will trust that he knows what he is doing even if an armchair coach like me doesn't agree.

As for Herman.. Goodbye.

I would say confidence in Rhoads from our fanbase is higher than just about every coach in the country outside of Saban.

Being upset with a bowl loss should be expected and I don't think there is anything wrong with having high expectations. He is the one who has raised those expectations.
