Re: Looking for a little feedback on a print publication
I'd buy one or two, assuming good editing and high quality graphics design (no pixelated pictures, professional layout, etc). Would love to see a mix of a summary of 2010 and a preview of 2011, with coach/player interviews, commentary by Chris, Austen, Blum, Bruns, player bios, and blurbs on each Big 12 team.
I recognize that "print is dying", but I'm still all for something that captures a moment in time. How many people are going to be referring to Chris's CF.com write-ups of the OSU game in 10 years? Probably none. How many would read a couple page summary/analysis with original quotes and commentary on the game from CPR and Woody now that they've had a chance to look back on things? The point being that a quality print publication is much more likely to be something you remember and hold onto than the content regularly generated for the website.
Just my 2 cents.

Re: Looking for a little feedback on a print publication
I would buy it. Wouldn't have a problem committing to a pre-order sort of thing.
I would like to see Big 12 coverage though. Not a ton, but some. Perhaps you would need the help of local beat writers around the conference. Especially with TCU and WVU coming in. I would like to get the scoop, and expectations on those 2 programs.

Re: Looking for a little feedback on a print publication
how much different would it be than a gameday program? honest question. those have player bios, pics, stories, etc. and are as this as a sports illustrated. i think a lot of people are going to say "ya i'd buy one", but when it gets down to brass tacks, they probably wouldn't. myself included.
and to those saying "gotta support the cyclones", i doubt this would. it would support the print itself. no proceeds would go to isu i wouldn't think.

Timely print, similar to what Chris is proposing, I believe still has something to offer.

I didn't read through the whole thread, but my opinion is to just stick with the online media.
Don't bother with print.

Re: Looking for a little feedback on a print publication
I would buy a good, accurate, Big 12 Preview magazine. The extra Cyclone content would be awesome, but would like to know about our opponents as well. Especially with WVU and TCU coming in. The mags I have bought are too broad and con't have great analysis of non top 25 teams.

Yes, I would be interested. Would need to have it sent to Nebraska. I would still purchase my Phil Steele, but would spend $10 - 15 for a high quality ISU Magazine. Especially next year because, ISU should be pretty good.

I would not be in favor of purchasing any Coins with the Pictures of the Coach on them.
Did they ever make a Kevin Jackson Coin for Wrestling?
