Re: ISU Football Player Charged
The article says, "An Iowa State football player has been charged with assault causing serious injury as a result of a January 2011 incident, court records show.
Earl Brooks, 23, is listed as a redshirt senior safety from Deerfield Beach, Fla. Brooks played in every Cyclone game in 2010, but sat out the 2011 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in training camp. Court records say that Brooks is charged with a Class D felony. Specifically, Brooks is charged with causing injury without intent and could serve up to five years in prison and pay a $7,500 fine, if convicted."

He had an OWI last year as well. I'm not typically one for pitchforks, but if there's anything to this its probably time to cut him loose.

He is not being brought back next year via medical hardship per ISU beat writers.
And the incident is from a year ago. He is just being charged right now for some reason.

Re: ISU Football Player Charged
I know this is old news but a player being charged with a felony of any sort should get the player kicked off the team. He beat someone down with the intent to hurt him and this is the type of standout act we want here at ISU?

Also if even close to true this dude is a total POS. Allegedly knocked a woman unconscious with a closed fist.

Just because one is charged doesnt always mean theyre guilty.
