If your argument is that GA work first at BCS schools is experience for position coaches, I understand the argument. My point is that it is very common for players to start their coaching careers at their alma mater regardless of it is a BCS school. I would say that Hobbs' NFL career under Belicheck and Reid far outranks GA work. FWIW - Barrow went from playing career to BCS position coach with a 1 year hiatus.

Where is Hobbs from? I keep thinking east coast somewhere, but am far from certain there.

Re: Ellis Hobbs. Next ISU DB coach?
I can do nothing but laugh at all of you making mention of his lack of experience. He made it to the Big Time only being 5'9." He learned preparation under Belichick. He came back and got his degree. He's stayed in contact mentoring (COACHING) those who have followed him. He's extremely likeable, is of unquestioned character, and bleeds Cardinal and Gold. He's knowledgable and would have no problem relating to young people, and we would be damn lucky to get him. Besides, there's got to be some value X & O wise to bring in somebody from the NE organization. He's one of us and understands and can sell what this university is all about. There's ZERO downside with his potential hire.

I just heard from a unreliable source that the CR Jefferson head coach Jim Womochill is under consideration... Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Just saw Ellis's Twitter. He drives a green Lambo. Yeah, we'd get serious recruits if he drives up in that.

Take care of that puppy and that's a nice investment. Not crazy about the green though.
