I think he's hopeful that he might get hired, but I won't believe anything for certain until it's announced. That being said, I hope that he does get the job and does solid work with these guys--this team has some solid talent in that defensive backfield!

I don't know. First-time coaches don't work out very well here.
In NFL games, whenever they announced Ellis with the team lineups on TV, he would always say his high school instead of his college. What is that about?
He went back and forth between his HS and ISU (more HS). I'm sure it had to do with earning his degree first, which he did.Quote:

I think Ellis could recruit really well.
I saw something earlier (cant remember if on here or twitter) that said that the next DB coach would likely be the recruiting coordinator as well. This would make sense
Do it. Ellis is one of my all time favorites. He'd be a fantastic hire and I'm sure he'd connect well with the recruits. Doesn't hurt to have a pretty darn good former NFL player in the fold.
