I am not naive enough to think this kind of welcome will continue but it is nice having a bunch of people who can all put things aside and welcome new people into the fold.
Interesting that all my photos have been removed, or am I missing something?? Honestly, you'll find us a very welcoming bunch. Obviously there are the select few, but over all, most Iowa State fans are about as down to earth as you can find. No reason to think we are world beaters since we've never had one. I think you'll find, win or lose, if you keep your cool, most on here will as well. Honest discussion is all we ask for on this board. Welcome aboard, it's beautiful having a team in the Big XII who wants to be here.

Re: Hello
This could be fun. We could ride to the game with Duke and Laura Barnett[Jared's folks] and being that our Grandson will be on WVU's roster, it could be an interesting trip.

Re: Hello
papawlambert!
I often see you posting on the BGN. Nice to see you have roots elsewhere as well.

Re: Hello
Jared Barnett, the quarterback, was the QB when my Grandson was a Soph. on varsity at Garland, Tx HS.. His folks became friends. I wish ISU well, but hope my Grandson kicks the FG that beats them.

The amount of Mitchell County connections in this thread is blowing my mind.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the site! I've had a Mountaineers shirt for years, and got my husband a WVU football on the same trip. Love you guys!

It seems to be getting better everywhere. In just three years of living in Waterloo I've seen the amount of ISU gear increase pretty dramatically. It's amazing what a few years of competent FB and MBB coaching can do.
