Pres-Spring Peek at 2013 Lineup
I was playing around with Spring/Fall '13 lineups, and came up with this...
LT Jacob Gannon/Jacob Dunning/Brock Dagel LG Oni Omoile/Bob Graham C Tom Farniok, Daniel Burton/Ben Loth RG Duaron Williams/Ethan Tuftee RT Kyle Lichtenberg/Shaban Dika/Jamison Lalk Unit- Taking a chance that if Omoile and Williams are as good as I think they will be, they’ll bump (or ‘allow’) some other players to slide outside. In other words, if the three interior slots are secure—throw everyone else at the tackles! Bill Bleil likes players who are versatile, so some players could flip inside or out as needed. It looks to me like these guys are the beginning of a very strong unit, working from the inside out. TE Ernst Brun/Pierce Richardson Unit- These two players represent a slender thread of hope that there will be something coming back. Otherwise, all rests upon an early enrolling JUCO transfer—or a highly skilled prep. WR Quenton Bundrage/Dondre Daley/P.J. Harris WR Albert Gary/Jarvis West WR Ja’Quarius Daniels/Tad Ecby/Quan West Unit- Interesting collection of talent—am I missing anyone? Hopefully no one is MIA by this time! A good assemblage of size, talent and athleticism, all of whom seem to have good hands. QB Jared Barnett/Sam Richardson/Grant Rohach Unit-If you think it’s going to be a free-for-all this Spring, it may not be much different a year from now. I honestly don’t have clue one how it will shake out. One thing is for sure—it’ll be entertaining! RB James White/Shontrelle Johnson/Jeff Woody/DeVondrick Nealy/Rob Standard Unit-This is a really nice collection of talent. Maybe not by OU, UT or A&M standards but these guys are a good bunch. Like a number of other positions, should have another face or two by the time Fall ’13 rolls around. DE Willie Scott/Devin Lemke/Corey Morrissey DT Quinton Pompey/Mitchell Meyers/Collin Bevins NT Walter Woods/Brandon Jensen/Devlyn Cousin DE David Irving/Pierre Aka Unit- Uh huh. To say that there are a number of questions at this point is a vast understatement, but I still like the looks of this assemblage of talent. Depth may be a bit green, but I expect CPR to sort all that out by the time that 2013 season rolls around. WLB C.J. Morgan/Adam Pavlenko MLB Darius White/Jeremiah George SLB Jevohn Miller/Kane Seeley N Deon Broomfield Unit-In some ways, the biggest question mark on the team. There is a goodly amount of speed and athleticism among these guys though. Another spot where fresh faces (’13 signees) could appear right away on the depth chart. RCB Clifford Stokes/Kenneth Lynn/Sam Richardson SS Jared Brackens/T.J. Mutcherson FS Jacques Washington/Luke Knott/Darian Cotton LCB Jansen Watson/Damien Lawry/Charlie Rogers Unit-Considering that Washington is the only proven quantity at the moment, the secondary could also be a concern. Oddly, I find that I’m not, however. Indeed, this group could prove to be a real strength—there is some serious speed lurking in the shadows here. P Kirby Vanderkanmp K Cole Netten Unit-One senior, one guy with a chance to have proven himself. If Cole proves to be as good as Kirby was as a frosh, no problemo.

Off the top of my head you didn't include aaron Horne, Roosevelt maggitt, and Jeremy reeves. All 3 of those guys will start. Plus I don't see how tuftee doesn't start unless he is unhealthy
Edit: whoops. Just noticed this is the year after this coming season. I stick with the tuftee comment

Whoops. Change your first line of the body. You are confusing everyone.

It's hard to say "we won't have depth (here or there)" when were still 2 years out. There's not many teams in the whole country that is confident in what they'll have to work with 2 years from now. Too much can happen for better or worse.

And I think that the Big Dawg might be good enough to beat out Tuftee, but think they'll at least share time. I was figuring on at least a three-man rotation at the guard slots. "Hey! I'm building something here!"

Re: Pres-Spring Peek at 2013 Lineup
I love that all of the running backs will still be there in 2013. Should have a great year running the ball.
Second, I agree with you looking at the DBs. Only Washington is proven, but it still looks a solid group. The possibility of Stokes and Lawry at the corners makes me happy.
Lastly, I agree with the other posters about Tuftee although, it sounds like Duaron Williams could be a stud. Maybe move Williams to the LG (don't know much about Omoile)?
