It is too bad we don't have a cool old trophy like Paul Bunyan's axe in place. Maybe a scythe? We could call it George Washington Carver's scythe and make up a story to go along with it.

Anyway these all suck but are all better than the last choice so nobody will be too up in arms about it, at least not enough to force them to change it again.

I don't mind #1 or #2, if they were to take the arch back piece off. I like the idea of Cy and Herky holding the football. I also like the concept of the football in a corn husk, but there also needs to be something added to affiliate the schools. They just need to take the arch off. If they need another support for the football, what about a goal post or corn stock? That arch is hideous.

Initially, #3 was my favorite because I don't like the arches, but #3 has absolutely no connection to the schools. It could be a trophy for any school in the nation.

I think overall the concepts still need a lot of work. Who is coming up with these ideas? They shouldn't have a job.

Iowa Corn needs to figure out that the game is more important than their sponsorship. Pretty sad that 2/3 are corn related and the other one just plain sucks.

If they are so determined to put corn into it, they could do so and make it cool. I think they could do a large ear of corn and engrave each victory on the kernels. They could put ISU and UI logos on the husk leaves. That would be something unique. Would break away from the traditional cheep trophy look.

I voted for #1, not real exited about any of them.

There really isn't any variation to them. It would have been great to have a traditional trophy, a corn belt, and an ear of corn. Then vote.
