Not sure why some of us think we'll beat West Virginia, after seeing them hang 70 on Clemson just 3 1/5 months ago

West Virginia just scored another TD vs Clemson.

What does that make it 167 - 14?

I had $100 on West Vir last year. I just sat back and enjoyed the whipping.

I really like Coach Rhoads. I hope you are able to keep him.

Geno Smith may be the best QB in the Big 12 and has 2 potential All American receivers.
Most preseason polls have them about 11 in the preseason standings. the 70-33 beating they put on Clemson helped a little bit. HC Holgerson took over as HC in July last year and really needed more time to put in his offense. He has a year behind him now and his own hand picked staff. I would be surprised if they don't do well this year.
Ohhhhh we have heard this one just a few times before....

WVU should win the Big 12 this year. I don't know that there's a team out there returning mreo impact than they are. I also look for the B12 to be down quite a bit.
    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

    Re: West Virginia Spring Game

You might check the WVU stats last year. It came together and all of the good guys are returning. What was it 4400 yds passing by Geno Smith last year? He didn't start learning the system until August of last year. His wide receivers will be back and also the running backs.
If you are speaking of ISU, they will get it together.

Well according to you it's likely that Rohach will be the QB by then so that's irrelevant

I don't know about should win the Big 12, but definitely a contender. They have tons of talent (Smith, Austin, and Bailey are as good as it gets), but I still have the give the edge to Oklahoma because they know the Big 12. Then again, so does Holgorsen.

Disagree with the Big 12 being down "quite a bit". I really believe that it will be even better than last year. I mean, just look at us, we're going to have a solid team (best in Rhoads era, supposedly), but I still see us 9-7th in the Big 12 this upcoming year.

Adding West Virginia and TCU definitely make the Big 12 better.

I would say OU and WVU are the favorites at this point. Oklahoma had a disappointing season last year, but they always have a ridiculous amount of talent. The same could be said for Texas, but you gotta remember that Mack Brown is their coach...

I will root for WV when they arent playing ISU, but the Big 12 with its 9 conference games is a meat grinder. It will be interesting too how they can handle the level of competition, from worst to best. They are in for a huge surprise.

    Re: West Virginia Spring Game

I'm an ISU fan first but Clemson is a close second for me and I still have nightmares about that WVU game. The score was a little inflated because our guys pretty much gave up but it was a severe ***-kicking all around. I'm definitely afraid of the same thing happening to ISU but nothing would make me happier than another late-season win over a highly-ranked team. These days I have more faith in ISU winning those than Clemson...

    Re: West Virginia Spring Game

I think with CPR there are very few teams we can't beat on a given day. That said we need to start scoring a LOT more points if we want to compete with programs like VWU, Texas, OKie St, OU, etc. Scoring in the 20s will not win these games very often.

    Stay productive my friends

Well to be honest, Clemson did not even deserve to be in the game. They were in the second to worst league last year and the league sent two bids to the BCS. Didnt only 2 ACC teams win a bowl game last season?
