Best cy-hawk trophy ever, but that's not saying a lot

Herky looks like an old man with his pants pulled up and his belly haning over his belt. Cy looks like he needs to eat something.

I'm withholding judgement until I see the real thing, but it is way better than last years debacle.
BTW do we just get to keep the POS trophy from last year?

They could have always changed the nameplate on it to include Iowa Corn.
Oh well, what's done is done. I look forward to a bunch of ******** about the trophy again when we have to change it again.

At this point, they should just got with it and take inspiration from last year. Every year they design a new ugly-*** trophy, make it as cheaply as possible, and the tradition is the winning team's players and fans destroying it after the game.

I still think they could supplement it with a WWE style championship belt. No reason you couldn't have the trophy and the belt.

I'm not sure how many in-state D1 football rivalries teams both have stadiums named for former players who both died tragically young but I'm guessing it's very few. If insert guilty party here is so dense that they can't see the Trice-Kinnick Trophy staring them in the face well then there's no helping them.
I'd really like to see the ISU Alumni Association reach out to the UI AA (or vice versa) and get this done. If insert sponsor here want's to have a publicity stunt attached to this game for a fee that's fine but there really should be a trophy to recognize the best of ISU and UI football - men like Jack Trice & Nile Kinnick.

I will not be pleased until we are playing for the Kinnick/Trice trophy. But of course, it just makes too much sense.
