Surprise surprise
Look at the bright side, it took quite a few years for us to even get ranked above Kansas preseason. Don't you remember? Turner Gill was a hot commodity and of course would turn them around immediately to beat ISU. That is a given.
This ranking has little or no meaning. People whose work includes guessing, er, predicting, such as weathermen, stock analysts, and sportscasters/writers have to predict the future, or try, because it is part of their job to do so. Don't take it as gospel.
If OK State can actually get 2nd in the BigXII with a True Freshman QB and no Blackmon i'll be really impressed.
I'm happily above Kansas, after all if you're not first you're last and nobody cares, unless you are as bad as Kansas was last year then people remember you.

The #3 spot for W.Virg. seems a bit interesting along with TCU over UT.
