At least Blinn is a powerhouse Junior College and is where Cam Newton went.

May have had the GPA/ACT/SAT scores, but decided to go the JUCO route 1 year (or 2) to get an offer from a D1?

Real question is.. if he commits..will he stay committed?
Nothing like Porter and Hayes

Re: RECRUITING: Report of a JUCO DT offer
Do we have any competition? Or is he coming right away without any recruitment?

Redshirt to be ready in '13?

3 Big 12 offers indicates higher than 2 star talent. Plus he comes at a position you can never have to many bodies at.

Nothing like Porter and Hayes I would take it by the "right away" that they would want him to report for Summer term. Originally Posted by Rhoadhoused This is false. Perhaps he wasn't excpected to qualify (but apparently did), or maybe he was injured his senior year.

Exactly. The problem with your latter statement is that I wonder if we're losing someone. On the other hand, taking him now gives him a chance to be ready for next year--when McDonough, Simon and Laing have all graduated. Continuity is a good thing!
Now that I think of it, this reminds me of when a previous coach offered a little known freshman wide receiver/tight end combo out of a California JUCO that everyone scoffed about. I think (after a redshirt) he turned out okay. "Hey! I'm building something here!"
