Oklahoma to Pac West?

Didn't this about happen? What's going to keep them from doing it? The Pac 12 will get reactive and needy at some point, not too many great teams West of the Missouri River. Why do I worry about this? Texas will step on someone's toes during this expansion process and my first reaction is Oklahoma. Hopefully the SEC and Big 12 already have worked everything out behind the scenes but I do believe the Big 11 will get ND and the Pac 12 will not want to be in "4th place" too long in the pecking order.

Why in god's name would they leave the 2nd best conference in football and basketball for one that is not.

Oklahoma is not jealous of Texas like A&M is, and wants very much to be in the same league as Texas. It seems to me like they also turned down an offer to join the SEC.

Oklahoma has had plenty of chances to go, and they're still here. If they were going to leave, they would have already.

At this point the only teams that I could see leaving would be us, and maybe Kansas or Kansas State, if one of us got a Big 10 invitation. But I don't think that will ever happen, and I don't think any of us would be interested in going anywhere else.

You bring up a very interesting question with some serious things to ponder.

I have been wondering about something for a while now...

Not to pile on but you do realize that all schools gave up their TV rights to the Big 12, right? So technically OU could leave for the Pac-12 but the Big 12 would retain the rights to show their games on TV. The Pac-12 wouldn't even want them.
