    That SI piece was really interesting. I really think there is a case to be made for separating football and olympic sports conferences. Sure, most of the power conferences would retain the same membership for both. For the Big East and C-USA, however, allowing football and basketball to pursue their own interests would have solved a lot of the problems they are having.
