None of them are ahead of him because none of them have proven anything. The only QB's on this roster who have proven something is JB and Steele.

Seems since AA, people always project the black QB's somewhere other than QB because they are so athletic. Granted it works out sometimes ( JQ and CR). But, it's not always set in stone. Remember RGIII, other than BU, everyone thought he would play some other position too. Rohach's numbers were not as good but no one has mentioned him as anything other than a QB. Richardson's numbers were similar and no one mentioned him as anything other than a QB. JB's numbers were better coming out of HS and questions arose if he could play another position. What's the deal with the black QB's?
So many loaded questions.

Luke Knott was a QB in HS. He's white. He's playing defense moving forward. Also pretty sure nobody expected him to play QB here either. So yeah.

Wow. You went there. That's a pretty inaccurate statement. Nobody projected Barnett anywhere else. Everyone projected JQ and CR somewhere else and that played out just like it. I think he was recruited as a QB, but he's a very good athlete who will be bale to find somewhere else. I didn't say he could be a QB. As for your Rohach and Richardson comparisons, neither have the athleticism Hodge does so really, it was a no brainer. The whole race thing was stupid.

I think unless you have a young QB who has already led to wins and is great, every year you take a QB. You never know when someone is going to be a bust or transfer out. And, you do want talented depth.
Jantz is gone after this year and that leaves us with 3 scholarship QBs. Barnett, Richardson and Rohach. What if Richardson never pans out and Barnett has reached his ceiling? That would just leave you with Rohach. With how important the QB position is to an offense, you can't ever really be settled on 1 good QB for your program.

This is a good looking QB prospect an I'm excited about him. He just looks like a QB and runs like a QB.....not just an athlete like Charles Rogers. Charles looks and runs more like a pure athlete playing QB.

You could argue that Richardson has proven something because he is still here and at QB. The staff seems to be pretty high on him as well.
Also Rohach went to the Elite 11 QB competition so we can assume that he might be pretty good.
Bottom line, it has nothing to do with race.
Re:First Commitment in the books
I didn't even know he was black I'm on my iPod. Till someone pulled the race card

Rogers was really raw but he had pretty good natural talent related to the position. The problem is, IMO, he has the best CB talent in the last class as well. His sealing was probably good at QB but it is great at CB.

Because he played tons of defense in HS and his brother is a 1st Team All American defender. It's just natural for him to follow his brother.

Oh that makes complete sense. His brother played defense so he should.

I was simply asking a question. Facts say we've had 2 black QB recruits the past two classes and the first question asked was where else will they play. I'm not saying its wrong, it's what happened and like I said, it's worked out. My question was why do we always do that wirh the black "athletic" QB's. Why can't we say, damn, he may be the next Seneca.
Yes, the questions were raised about JB playing another position. But why wouldn't you want an athletic QB who posses similar passing skills as your less athletic QB playing QB.

No one can poop on a thread quicker than the CF faithful.

Re: First Commitment in the books
There was plenty of talk about Steele playing wr and even safety not that any of it really made any sense. There's also this guy named Austin Flynn.
