Williams Blog: Odds analyst tabs ISU at 3-9

Re: Williams Blog: Odds analyst tabs ISU at 3-9
That would make for a long and depressing season. It certainly is possible, we were only a handful of plays away from that last year. I would predict a few more wins than that.

I love how everyone but us get's a homefield advantage in their spread. Hacks that will be proven wrong again.

Might take awhile for that since we're in the BigXII

Puts the head coaches job in perspective. Fans want 6, 7 wins, media can only find 3 wins on the tough schedule.

Re: Williams Blog: Odds analyst tabs ISU at 3-9
Being favored in 3 games isn't the same as a 3-9 prediction. Theoretically, take team that's a 2-point underdog in every single game. That's not an 0-12 prediction.
That being said, is there an over/under on our wins? I think it would be 4.5 based on those lines, but maybe 3.5.

Can you bet on the over under on 3 wins? Just curious. I am not a betting man but this would be a bet I would take the over. I would slap 50 bucks down on this one. I have never bet on a football game but this would be the first.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I can see how we get to 7 wins. I can also see how we win 4. I see the odds of us winning less than 4 about the same as winning 8+

Re: Williams Blog: Odds analyst tabs ISU at 3-9
I think if you laid equal money on each of the following games and took ISU to beat the spread, you'd come out ahead:
Tulsa
Tech
TCU
KSU
Baylor
OU
WVa
Iowa, Texas and Western Illinois are all possibilities, too, but factors in each case makes me think it'd reduce the overall take.
