4-8 to 6-6 is where we are likely to end up this year. If we finish one game below our most likely ceiling, why would anyone be upset? If we finish one game above our most likely ceiling, I would be overjoyed. However if we finished one game below our expected floor (3 wins), I will be extremely disappointed.

Here are the games in the order of likelihood that I think we will win.

1. Western Illinois. We should use this game to make a statement, not just win.
2. @ Kansas. Why was it so close last year? This should be a blowout.
3. Baylor. They will be down because of being beaten so often already by others.
4. Texas Tech. Good recruits, but we will be able to handle them early in the season.
5. @ Iowa. We should win, but Kinnick will make them tougher than they really are.
6. Tulsa. They tend to get better as the season goes on. Glad we get them early.
7. @Texas. Very winnable given their problems coming into the season.
8. Kansas State. Must win this game to get to a better bowl.
9. West Virginia. Hoping the Big 12 beats them down before they get to Ames.
10. @ TCU. They will be trying to make a strong entry into the Big 12.
11. @ Oklahoma State. Look out for some bad revenge. Still winnable.
12. Oklahoma. Toughest game, but it would be a great signature win at home.

Weed halve to probably win every game butt maybe won against non-ranked teams two go 5-7 so this prediction is actually pretty respectable compared to the three and for win predictions others have maid.

Obviously our ceiling is 12. Most people feel we'll be in that 4-8 to 6-6 window with an outside chance at 7-5 if we get Iowa at Kinnick. Anything above that is ridiculous homerism and below 4-8 is complete pessimism.

We haven't earned the respect to be projected to go bowling. I think the team is more than capable of going again, but to ask a neutral publication do predict otherwise is a bit out of reach right now.
