Away Game This Year,

Im planning on an away game this year. Either OKstate or Kansas. Kansas is in the lead now because its a good chance for a win and only a little over 3 hours. Is it possible to have fun attending a game at Kansas?

I sure don't think you can enjoy being in Lawrence. I was there watching us ******* away the Big XII North title. That was my second time and last time there. The first time was the long punt fake run by Tony Yelk. But we need Cyclones to represent.

Personally I am looking forward to my first trip to Stillwater someday. If I had to choose an away game this year it would be TCU, and I just might swing that.

Right, but its so far away, id go to Texas if I could. Was it just losing that sucks or was it also just the overall atmosphere?

I was not impressed with Kansas when I went, but I've always thought Stillwater would be fun. Especially this year, that's going to be as heightened as the atmosphere for ISU-OSU is ever going to get.

I have a bad feeling about the Kansas game. The last time I had a bad feeling about a game 5 months in advance, we got creamed by a bad Colorado team.

Somebody alert the team about this guy's "bad feeling 5 months in advance" theory. Maybe we can start cancelling travel plans to save the athletic department some money and they can get a jump on the West Virginia game plan.

Okstate doesnt appear to have anywhere to tailgate, they encourage you to drink in a bar downtown and then ride a bus to the game.

Planning to go to TCU and Texas, since they're both close to me. Hoping for a repeat of that 2010 Texas game. Probably the best feeling I've ever had in person at a Cyclone game.

The atmosphere sucks! They have no tailgating. It's like Iowa City, but boring. You have to find a yard to park in to drink as I think the campus doesn't allow for booze. Plus, they don't care about football down there. If they win, they will more than likely rub it in mercilessly. If they don't, they won't care. Just my opinion of course. (There were KU fans around us that were very nice, but they remembered Gale Sayers...)

That was my experience too. Granted, I was there the year they went to the Orange Bowl, but I was really surprised how much their MBB arrogance carried over to football.

I'm going to TCU and OK State. Should be good times. Anyone going to Austin needs to hit up the ISUAA Tailgate. We had an absolute blast there in 2010.
