Seems there is a ton of mutual interest. Wants to go to a school with a good engineering program. His family really likes Iowa State also. I'm hearing we are in real good shape with him.

He seems to have his head on straight with a 3.5 GPA and looking to go into a career as rough as engineering. Good for him.

Being from Waco, he's a self-proclaimed BU fan. I wouldn't expect him to leave the state. We shall see, I suppose.

Wow what an exceptional athlete. Since he's just a 3 star, he could be the mold of a David Irving. A beast in the weight room with room to grow as a football player. Would be a great prospect to land!

I'd be shocked if we get this kid. Look at that offer list. If Rhoads can pull this one off, he's a miracle worker.

Why would he want to go anywhere else than Iowa State? Great Engineering School, Great Campus, and Great Football Coach. I understand we are not the football factory that some of these other schools are, but we have a ton to offer. If he wants to study Engineering and play football, there is no better place in my opinion.

It's an impressive offer list, but only Texas, Mississippi St, and Missouri (the last two because of conference affiliation) have more pull in the world of college football to grab this recruit. I think we have just as good of a shot as anyone.

Yeah and the offer list is pretty impressive, but its not like we are up against half the SEC. Texas and BU are probably in contention, but I would think we would be right behind them.

Ok talked to somebody close to the situation about it again last night. Apparently the kid was more interested in Iowa State than we were about him at first or we probably could have landed him by now. He comes from a real good family. He is a great all-around kid. We probably will still be a finalist for him. Lets hope we get him. He was the texas 4A 5A powerlifting champion as well!
