There's billions of women on the planet, but that game is never going to happen again. You played the wrong odds sir.

Here are a few of the photos I took that night.

Re: As if it ever gets old....
Just watched the whole thing on my phone.... Still yelled out when we made the big plays. First time I've seen the broadcast of the game and was good, but I'm glad I was in the stands for it.
Had to go into work the next morning which was interesting. Tried to start working and then coworkers came by and we spent over an hour just going on and on about the game and how unreal and awesome it was, with what little voice I had left.

Wow. You got a nice close-up of Samantha Steele that night?

Re: As if it ever gets old....
Just watched it again. At about 44:00 Hicks gets called for a false start. The very next play he moves early again, all the OSU players point at him, but it doesn't get called and White has his long TD run on that play. Just a little luck helps sometimes.

Walking into the stadium before the game, there was definitely something different in the air.

Re: As if it ever gets old....
I got a free ticket from a fellow fanatic on here which he mailed to me. My parents were going to Branson with some other relatives and said they'd buy me a ticket to another game. I told them I really wanted to go so took my gf to the game. I had tickets but my friend was on the goal line that the two OT's were played on and told me there was space. We moved there aftet the first quarter and ended up having the night of my life. Bought season tickets for this year for the first time only having them for the one year I was a student, along with 6 others. The Woody chant reminded me of the Rudi chant. After the INT the stadium knew it was over.

My uncle occasionally caters for the tent tailgate with the firetruck and I was chatting with him before and we were having the "whatta ya think of tonight" pre-game talk. I remember telling him there was just an odd feeling going on.....and that if anyone could do it, CPR and the Cyclones could. And even when we were down at the half and it didn't look great, there still was this feeling.
Looking forward to a couple more of those days/nights...then, ideally, in the next couple years we don't need that feeling because EVERY we are in a position to win.

I told my friends (all Hawk fans, seeings as I'm from Dubuque and go to Iowa) that this was the game I was making them go to. I brought my brother and a few other friends down to Ames, and my cousin, who is in his first year @ ISU, met up. I 100% agree, you could tell walking into the game, and all the way through it, that there was something different in the air. There was no way we were going to lose. In-freakin-credible, definitely made up for missing the Iowa game (which definitely had the effect of reducing the amount of Hawkeye gear worn on campus in Iowa City the next week, BTW).

Re: As if it ever gets old....
The feeling for me started prior to game day for me. I was reading about their season to that point and realized they hadn't had an off game all season. Seeing Weeden's face after the missed FG, he looked scared.

I had a season ticket to this game. I had bumped into a girl I knew in when I was in high school who had moved to Des Moines and we had started dating, she didnt have a ticket to the game but said she would come watch it with my friends (who didnt have tickets either) and me. I decided it to pull a Good Will Hunting and "see about a girl" and watch the game on tv with her. Obviously, my friends who went to the game ripped on me before the game for bailing and then I was ridiculed for days after (and still to this day) for missing "The biggest upset in ISU history". However, the main point of the story was I still watched every second of the most exciting game I've ever seen and we've been dating over a year. I was asked to go on a double date with a couple I'm friends with and their friend to a play. I almost took them up on the offer as what are the chances we win. I had a gut feeling, said **** the date...and witnessed the best game I've seen in JTS. Worth it!!

I get huge chills when he says "something different in the air tonight" and then Gary catches that touchdown to tie the game.

Re: As if it ever gets old....
Its easy to say that you felt something different in the air afterwards (since we won) some might say but there honestly was. A Friday game where all those students should have gone home for Thanksgiving. I was a senior and had never missed a home game in my 4 years so there was no way I could miss it. Especially not knowing when the next chance I would get to get back for a game.
Even though we were down 17, and despite being a pretty big pessimist, especially when it come to ISU sports, I just kept saying to my buddy, "we are still in this, we are still in this."
Pretty cool to think that this game will be the '92 Nebraska for our generation. We will talk about it to the day we die.
