maybe, i guess I don't know for sure. I thought it had to do with when you signed that gave you that option not when you enrolled.

We're at the 85 limit right now, so I'm not sure if there is room for any EE's.

I saw his profile earlier changed to have 3 schools "high" and we were not one of them.

Edit:

He's listed as a "Soft Verbal" to Cincy with West Virginia as "low". Guess there's a change he'll flit to WVU or Missouri if they have a spot for him.

Eighty-five has absolutely nothing to do with it, if some of those guys will have graduated in December and be off the official "roster". Since we have a number of fifth year seniors, that seems likely.

I am quite sure that CPR still has slots open for the '12 recruiting calendar, since I'm pretty sure that at least two of the three early enrollees last January counted back against the '11 calendar total.

That help any? Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure that, with Mouchantaf choosing Houston, he still has at least one scholly to give for this August if he sees someone he likes.

After looking at the video, IMO: Tyler Brown > Barkley Hill

But then, I've never been a big fan of slow running backs.

I am kind of curious. With those long runs, and relatively few carries, how did he only average 6ypc? Everyonme stacking the box, or just not a great offensive line?

I hope this kid stays at Running Back, unless we're thin at DB for that class. He can flat out fly in the open field!!! See ya later...

Not a Jeff Woody fan? Hill would have served a need. Iowa was a better fit for him, however, he would have been nice to have here when Woody left. My guess is we are still looking for someone in that sort of a mold either in this class or the next one.

He will. We didn't have a RB in the last class so unless we sign about 3 of him he will stay there. RB all the way IMO. I don't know if he has corner skills anyway.

It would be nice if we found a TE who could shift back to the tailback position for short yardage situations as the bruiser back. This would allow a lot more deception as well as quick snaps if a smaller back could shift into the slot and the TE could line up as the back without the need for substitutions. Of course this would require a larger skill set and very sure hands out of that TE.

I said "slow running backs", I didn't say anything about fullbacks.

And that line about "Iowa being a better fit for him" is a bit of rationalizing, IMO. If he doesn't have the speed to hit the hole, he doesn't have the speed to hit the hole. When I watched Hill's video, he was getting through the line courtesy of gaping holes, then always broke to the right past a defender heading the wrong way. Wasn't impressed.

Well, to be fair, there IS one way Iowa was a better fit--they were desperate for any backs they could get their hands on.

Now Brown, I think they got a steal. I'd expect him to be ranked, say, a 5.6 by the time he signs.
