Rhoads must be trying to shock the recruiting world this year with the number of no star recruits and guys nobody has ever heard of?
I'm not questioning Rhoads, I trust his judgment, but this just seems like another recruit that we could have gotten later if better players don't commit, but then again, if you wait until someone blows up, it might be too late also. Who knows?
Welcome aboard Tyler!

Re: Tyler Brown Commits
He's listed as a running back so why is the defensive line coach talking about it?
-
Re: Tyler Brown Commits
Don't they usually recruit areas, not just their position?
I assume that's why a DL coach would talk about the running back..
And, welcome aboard, Tyler!

Welcome aboard Tyler! You aren't questioning him though huh? Id rather not go with Mac method of grabbing backup options in January to fill half a class.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -

Welcome aboard Tyler! I agree with the second paragraph. He seems like a recruit you hold at arms length that might want to commit , but you're waiting for your top choices. I feel like we were in good position with a couple of other guys with more impressive offers/highlights. With that said Rhoads knows more than all of us.
The kid reminds me of Arob. Between the number, the stature, even the running style. I would definitely take another Arob.

Yeah, I know I sound like I'm questioning Rhoads, and I guess I am a little bit, but most likely Rhoads or someone else on the staff has seen this kid play in person and they felt the need to offer him now, so that's good enough for me.
As I've said in regards to some of our other commits, these are the type of recruits we get. We aren't Texas or Alabama, and we're not going to beat schools like that out for recruits either. The sooner we all realize that, the better.

Re: Tyler Brown Commits
Does this kid have track speed or any info on y the staff offered him? Maybe he'll turn out to be a superstar, but he doesn't have the offer list of a shontrelle or nealy.
(Because he looks fast in the video!)

Re: Tyler Brown Commits
My understanding is he is a leader,....and we need more leaders. And he is a december grad and being on campus in january played a role in this.
