I guess at least it proves I'm not obsessed with the Hawks.
Although I still stick to my confusion about it being such a negative. Our QBs may not make us better, but they certainly aren't going to make us worse at that position than last year.

Ubbs is one guy that always points out what an up and coming team we are with Rhoads at the helm.
Also to note the Jayhalks cement was about the next schedule breakdown he will be releasing. And to even mention that a KState win would be a massive upset is crazy. They aren't great and won't be heavily favored.

Re: Ubby - Schedule analysis: Iowa State Cyclones
I like his schedule breakdown format better than say Athlon trying to actually pick winners. It allows him to discuss how it is the Cyclones have been impacting the league each season. No, you can't favor us in more than 1-2 conference games, but history says we will win more than that and make life difficult for some of the top dogs. Ubbs isn't a great writer, but this was a decent analysis.

Good analysis — following the category format, he nailed most of it.
Gut-check (another candidate for that is KSU, but he covered that with Chance to Impress)
Non-conf challenge. Obvious choice.
Upset watch: A prime candidate for JTS shocker; OU probably seems like a stretch.
Interesting tidbit: Four of the final five games in Ames are against 10-win teams in 2011. Its first two road games are against 11-win teams in 2011.
I hadn't realized: 6 opponents were double-digit-win teams in '11. Wow.
