Was going to leave but that awesome return west had made me believe and it was senior night plus good weather,national tv,number 2 team made it worth staying.wife got mad that i stayed but didnt really care when i stormed the field.still get goosebumps just thinking about that game.thank you quinn sharp.did he win groza award

Because I paid for a full game....not half of a game.
And we were only down ten. And it was only half time. Any thing can happen with that much time left(and it did, by golly, it did).
I had a bunch of friends that left at 24-7... yeah, they really regretted that.
There was something special in the air that night. I think most people there could feel it.
...because I thought we had a chance to win and thought we 'should' have been winning if not for a couple of bonehead mistakes.
And even though we didn't score I think it also helps when you have such a significant play right before half.
Can't say I've never left because I have (Oklahoma 03, Texas 03,07)... but I absolutely hate leaving early.
I expected ISU to be down 28-35 points by half. They were down 10. There was also a play to end the half that ISU almost scored on. Honestly this is kind of a dumb queston...who leaves when you're only down by 10?
This is my reasoning as well. Also, it was the only game worth watching that night. My friends all thought I was nuts when I said at the half that ISU was going to pull it out and bukkake the BCS, but I got the last laugh.Quote:

The reason I didn't leave the OSU game early is the same reason that we didn't sell our tickets for the '98 ISU-Iowa game on the way in. Hok fans were offering us 2x face, and we briefly considered taking their money & watching the game at a bar using their money to pay the tab.
But we didn't. Because you never know. Plus, as has been said earlier, ISU showed up to play. If they'd come out lifeless, we might have considered going back to the bus....but then ISU probably wouldn't have shocked the world in the second half and overtimes.
Because I was front row in the Student Section. I spent all that time to get front row, I wasn't gonna leave. We really should've only been down 3 if it wasn't for that pick 6. We were playing well.
I could feel it!
