Predictions: Tulsa @ ISU

The season starts exactly one month from today! What does everyone think the score will be? Tulsa returns an excellent team but replaces their star quarterback with a guy that got beat out by Taylor Martinez. The SRs will remember he has won on their field before. They will also have their leader and biggest star on defense sitting on the sidelines. I think our defense and running game will be too much, Barnett emerges as a lot better player as a sophmore, every running back sees the field, and Ecby becomes a star in the making. Oh and the players get it shoved in their face for a month that they are underdogs at home to a mid major, ISU 34 Tulsa 14.

ISU follows the old ISU tradition in 1st games and barely wins 27-21. Yes, that's a missed extra point.

i think it will be somewhat close. ISU wins 27-21. obviously because we'll be looking ahead to THE SUPERBOWL!

UConn deja vu. We were underdogs then. Again, a slow start offensively, two turnovers in first half, 4 first downs, one defensive personal foul, DBs get burned on a long TD, special teams keeping us in the game. Halftime score ISU losing 17-6. Then, we get some downfield passing which opens up the running game. LBs get a pick and a fumble recovery. Midway into the 4th quarter it is 27-24 good guys. They get a late FG and we run out the clock with Woody and a game ending FG. Netten is the hero. Final score 30-27 ISU.

I'm going to guess 20-14 ISU with some struggles early on from the QB that result in either a few 3-and-outs or a turnover or 2 but then the running game takes over and overpowers the mid-major Tulsa
