Next OL Commit! Vinnie Johnson!
I saw this guy mentioned on the front page of Rivals--not to hard to figure out who it was. The last Californian we had visit on an unofficial (that I know of) was Trevor Hodge. Any chance this kid commits soon? Looks like just the type that coaches Bliel and McKnight like to mold into a top lineman. Vincent Johnson - Yahoo! Sports
Edit: Yep! He committed! Welcome Vinnie!

Iowa State was amazing. Perfect visit. Couldn't have wished for anything more.

At 250 lbs., he's a little light. He'll need to hit the strength program for a year unless that's mostly muscle.
Come here to chew bubble gum and kick ***, have I. And all out of bubble gum, I am. -

That's exactly the kind of guy they hand over to Yancey McKnight. Put him (and Homa) in the weight room for a year, then see what comes out the other side, and where best they fit.
I take it that "Christian Brothers" is a fairly small high school? I don't remember noticing that name much on the recruiting front.

Cali boy reminds me of Irving except on the other side of the ball. Huge upside

Sturdy recruit? I'm looking forward to seeing his recuiting impact on the program.

FBS schools include all of those, plus the Mountain West, Sun Belt, WAC, Conference USA, MAC, BYU, Navy, and Army. Although we'll see how much longer that distinction is made with the new 4 team playoff in a couple years.

You're making an artificial distinction between BCS Automatic Qualifying Conferences, and BCS schools. Every FBS school is a BCS school. Just ask Boise State--and TCU or Utah, based on past experiences.
