Not to get too far ahead of ourselves here... but since we'll be losing 3 out of our 4 starters on the DL after this year in Maggitt, McDonough, and Laing... who would you bet right now we'll see as our starters next year?
I'll go with David Irving, Brandon Jensen, Walter Woods, and Willie Scott. But I'd like to see Pompey getting a lot of time inside and Cory Morrissey on the outside too.
I never said I was worried about it. I just wonder who people think will be starting across the front next year. No biggie.
I never said that you said that....never mind.
You gave good guess, though i would think that Morrissey or Lemke might make a big push for an end, if they put the next year to good use--and Scot doesn't add a little muscle.
"Hey! I'm building something here!"

In all likelihood we will have at least one unknown guy step up and contribute in a major way this year which will give us confidence in him next year. Look at Willie Scott last year. Also, Irving. It's always against the odds for a kid to play as a true freshman.

I'm having a hard time looking beyond this season right now, particularly on the D-line. It seems that we are doing some good recruiting. Rhoads and company were bragging about them at the CF Recruitment Day Party at The Keg Stand. As I recall, several of the new guys coming in have wrestling experience (though I don't remember how many were D-lineman). It was the first time in quite a while that I was able to breath a sigh of relief regarding our D-line. I don't know how much of the results of this positive turn we will see this year. Probably not for a few years.
