Rhoads' recruiting game plan paying off up front
Re: Rhoads' recruiting game plan paying off up front
Good stuff, Chris. I think we're in the time now where we can start to see how this whole CPR thing is working out.

Kudos to CW for giving the "big and uglies" upfront some press!

I always believed a good O line makes the rest of the offense look much better

A good O line can make all the difference. makes everyone elses job on offense easier.
Re: Rhoads' recruiting game plan paying off up front
Is there anyway we can get an interview with Yancy. I would love to see an interview from him.

Time will tell for sure how well it is paying off but there is room left on the Sunshine and Rainbows bandwagon!
Re: Rhoads' recruiting game plan paying off up front
Anyone else a little skeptical about the OL until they see it perform in action?
Bill Bleil, gotta love the guy, but every single summer he's been here he's bragged about how it's the best OL he's ever had basically... and then they go out and underperform.
I hope he's right this year, but I will believe it when I see it.
Every other position coach on the interviews every year talks about how they aren't yet where they need to be and they need some work, but Bleil always talks like his OL is the best ever. I have yet to see it in games though, so we'll see. I hope he's right!

Considering the non-existent passing threat, I think we have seen it. They have only under-performed if the expectations were of NU of the mid-90s ...OL has been the least of our problems the past 3 years.

I keep seeing this posted, and it isn't true. The only thing Bleil has said every year since '09 is that he has more depth than the previous year. Considering that in '09, that "depth" was one player, it isn't saying a whole lot. Then last season the line was ripped by injuries. So, I don't think him saying that his group is "the best he's had yet" is saying a whole lot either.

Well I think you could make the point as more and more of CPR's players come in, you see his master plan. I mean you could see that last year and with the JuCo's before. But these are mostly CPR's guys now, with CPR's coaches, and CPR's training.
